Ecoworks operates a localised FRESH veg box or in other words a “bag” scheme servicing the Nottingham CIty area.
Fruit and vegetables are grown by Ecoworks on their market garden on the Heritage site of St Ann’s allotments as well as sourcing local produce from a network of growers.
Ecoworks chose heavy duty re-useable green bags, with the customised service of smartbags, as a sustainable alternative to carrier bags, for the delivery of their produce.
Bespoke features included in their special Non-woven PP green bag:
Previously all fresh produce were delivered in single plastic carrier bags with the customer’s name written on the carrier. Now instead each customer receives their weekly bag of goodies in a reusable bag which is handed back and returned the following week. In turn they receive a newly filled bag with fresh fruit and vegetables, and so the process continues. A simple win/win situation with greater admin and delivery efficiency for Ecoworks and the environmental benefits of the reduction of single use carrier bags.

- Two different coloured piping on an even split quantity of bags (within the same order), so small box orders can be distinguished from larger orders.
- Each reusable bag features a clear name card pouch where the customers name and collection point can be easily slotted in and out for label identification.
- A PP base for a solid structure to act as a perfect platform for storing and deliverying the fruit & veg with NWPP handles stitched to the base for extra carrying strength.
