Four Brand Marketing Ideas for Easter - Fresh for Spring

Looking for fresh marketing ideas for Easter 2019? Check out our Four Ways to Promote Your Brand this Easter. It's a great time of year for fresh starts, fun events and chocolate!

Here's some ideas to help your brand and business make the most of the season.

Four Brand Marketing Ideas for Easter - Fresh for Spring

It's the beginning of March and officially Spring-time with just over 6 weeks until Easter. Spring & Easter is linked to new life and new beginnings, making this a great time of year to boost brand awareness with some fresh marketing campaigns.

Easter is a feel-good time of the year as we emerge from the dark, cold winter into warmer weather and lighter days. It's also the first holiday after the Christmas and New Year break, with children off school and adults getting a long weekend. It's a fun time with events like Easter egg hunts and craft making. And of course, all that lovely chocolate!

Put a Spring in your step and promote your brand. No matter who your marketing campaigns are aimed at, the Easter holiday provides some great opportunities. There are many ways for small businesses to take advantage of the season and attract customers to your brand. Here's some suggestions:

Four Ways to Promote Your Brand for Easter

1. Take Advantage of Spring Cleaning

It's traditional to have a Spring clean at home during this time of year so do the same for your marketing campaigns. Go over old data to identify past campaigns and methods that haven't worked for you in the past. Throw them out and try something new that will help you to reach your target market more effectively.

Your brand can also take advantage of all those spring-cleaning or doing DIY at home during the long weekend, particularly is you sell a product or service related to it. Cleaning and decorating firms could put in place an introductory offer for new customers and a special offer to encourage past customers to return.

DIY and homeware stores can put on a Sale on selected products to boost footfall.  Or you could provide a free service such as measuring, fitting or design to help boost orders.

If your business serves the local community, you could organise a community clean up of a beauty spot, beach, town centre or local park. Get everyone involved including local schools, other businesses, council representatives and as many local people as you can. Don't forget to let local newspapers and media know about what you're doing to help spread positive brand awareness.

There are many ways to take advantage of the Spring clean/fresh start - just think about what works best for your customers and business goals.

2. Send an Easter Card along with a Discount

Happy Easter - Easter Greetings written in grassRetailers should send customers and newsletter subscribers an Easter card to show you are thinking about them during the holidays.

Include a discount code to that can only be used for a limited period over the Easter holidays to boost sales. Or you could offer a free Easter egg to everyone that shops with you over the Easter period. These strategies will encourage footfall in your store or more visitors to your online shop.

This strategy also works for those marketing service-based businesses. Offer a discount to regular customers or a free add-on to your regular services. Or perhaps you could offer an Easter-themed gift for referrals that lead to a new customer.  Think about what discount and/or gift works for your brand to boost sales and encourage loyalty in existing customers.

3. Use Competitions to Boost Brand Awareness & Your Mailing List

Competitions are a simple, economical way to boost brand awareness.  One way is to create a digital version of your Easter card with a discount code that can be shared via social media. To get the discount, new customers have to register their email address and subscribe to your list.

Every person that shares the Easter card can be entered into a prize draw to win an Easter Basket filled with goodies, a  product from your range or an experience (like a meal, tasting session or a trip). Whatever prize you choose it should fit with your brand and your marketing goals.

Instead of a prize draw you can also choose a skills-based competition that's related to Easter & Spring. So, a photography competition that's themed around Spring. Or entrants could design their very own Easter Egg, Easter bonnet or any number of Easter-themed items!

4. Easter-themed Events in the Community or In-store

Easter Eggs in Basket - Easter EventsEaster is a great time of year to host themed events for all ages. If you run a restaurant or are a food retailer, host tasting events or themed set meals featuring treats like hot cross buns, Easter Eggs, lamb, asparagus and other seasonal foods.

It's also the perfect time for events for children and families. If you run your business from a shop, theatre, restaurant, or another physical space, host an Easter themed fun day with egg hunts and craft tables to make bunnies, eggs or an Easter bonnet. You could also try to create a joint event with other businesses in your local area or high street to help spread the cost and enable you to host a bigger, better event.

If you don't have suitable premises, hire a community space or use a local park, open space or shopping centre. Invite your customers, staff and their children, local nurseries and children's groups. These events are great for brand awareness and create a feel-good glow around it. Promote in advance so that you have plenty of people in attendance. You will be fondly  remembered for the fun day you gave everyone and it's a great chance to build your mailing list if you take email details from all attendees.

Don't forget to give out Goodie Bags for children to carry their Easter eggs & arts crafts home in. The Goodie Bags could also contain discount vouchers, other branded giveaways like pens, stickers, craft packs and details of competitions.

A custom-made tote bag is a perfect choice for a branded goodie bag - they are the perfect size to carry home and can be reused again and again after the event.

Make sure you leave enough time to fulfill your order. Custom Non-woven Tote bags takes 4 weeks to delivery via Express delivery, so it's advisable to order by 15th March to ensure delivery for Easter 2019.

Non-woven tote bags are cheaper than cotton,  feel soft but are strong and durable.

If you miss this order deadline, you still have time to order a Stock Bag in Cotton, Canvas or Jute that takes just 7 days to deliver.
